Google announced Gemini 1.0 Pro on December 6, 2023. A later official post confirms Gemini Pro API access on December 13. Bard’s fine-tuned Pro version and the distinct Pro Vision endpoint are not treated as the same served checkpoint. The historical API launch was not an unqualified global GA milestone.

The launch post describes a 32K window without an exact integer token limit; Vertex general availability was still future. Bard’s December 6 fine-tune and Pro Vision are separate access/variant claims. Current availability, exact snapshots and retirement remain unqualified.
